Today we headed off to Hamilton Island. We got out to the airport in plenty of time to relax before our 8:40 am departure. The flight was pleasant and in three hours were on the ground in Hamilton Island. We were met by our driver, who took us to Qualia, where we’ll be spending the next few days.

On arrival we relaxed with a glass of champagne and took in the beautiful views from the Qualia lobby.

We then headed to our room to unpack. We were quickly joined by a few cockatoos on the balcony.

We then went for a nice little drive around the resort in the provided golf carts, which will be our mode of transport all week on the island (since cars are not allowed on the island). We then headed to the hotel’s beachside restaurant for a light lunch. We spent the rest of the day relaxing before heading to dinner. We enjoyed a lovely meal in the hotel’s main restaurant.

After a lovely day we headed off for bed, with no firm plans yet for tomorrow.
