Noumea
A lazy day in Noumea
We had a bit of a sleep-in this morning before heading downstairs to a nice breakfast.
After breakfast we left the hotel and headed into town. To get a broader view of Noumea, we decided to take a ride on the Tchou Tchou train. We got on at Anse Vata bay headed for the Ouen Toro lookout point. We cruised around the where old residential buildings and colonial houses, before heading up to Coconut square where we wandered around a bit, before returning via the marinas and bays.

After getting off the train we walked along the shoreline to a great restaurant, called Le Fun. The house speciality at Le Fun is a steak that you cook yourself on a hot stone.

After a lovely lunch we walked around for a bit, before heading back to the hotel, where we relaxed for the rest of the afternoon. The wind was still blowing extremely strongly so were happy to sit inside.
We had a light dinner in the hotel before going off to bed.
Tomorrow we’re thinking of going to the market, depending on how the weather looks.
