This morning we headed out to the airport to catch a 9:00 am flight to Uluru. We had a very pleasant flight and were met on arrival by one of the guides from Longitude 131, our accommodation for the next few days. We had only a short drive to Longitude 131. We were given a quick tour of the grounds and then shown to the “tent” we’ll be sleeping in for the next few days. We unpacked a few things and then headed to the restaurant for some lunch.

After lunch we relaxed a little before heading off to for a short walk at the base of Uluru. We enjoyed champagne and canapés in a beautiful spot as the sun set over the rock, highlighting the incredibly rich colours of the area.

We then headed back to Longitude 131, where we enjoyed a beautiful dinner. We headed to bed pretty early after a wonderful first day here.
