After a good night’s sleep, we enjoyed lovely breakfast before checking out of the hotel and heading to the train station to board the Rocky Mountaineer for a two-day journey to Lake Louise through the beautiful Canadian landscape.

We had a lovely, relaxing day on the train. The scenery was breathtaking, and it’s hard to imagine a better way to enjoy it.

Late in the afternoon, we arrived into the quaint town of Kamloops, where we’ll be spending the night.

We enjoyed walking around Kamloops, which is a very pretty town. We had dinner at a local restaurant and then headed to our hotel for the night. It may not be the best hotel we’ve ever stayed in, but we were told that it was the best hotel in Kamloops! Actually, it was surprisingly comfortable and the staff were lovely.

We settled into bed relatively early after a wonderful day.

Tomorrow morning we’ll be reboarding the train for the leg to Lake Louise.
