We were down at breakfast just after 7:00 am so we would have plenty of time to get to the airport to catch our flight to Honolulu.

After breakfast we checked out, hopped in our hire car and drove to the airport. We got through security, boarded the flight, and setlled in for the 37-minute flight to Honolulu.

On landing, we collected our bags and met our driver, who took us to the Halekulani Hotel. We checked in to the hotel, very happy to be back there after a few years.

By this stage we were ready for lunch. We headed downstairs to Room Without A Key, the wonderful outdoor restaurant at The Halekulani. We had a magnificent lunch, starting with a Lava Flow cocktail and ending with the hotel’s signature Coconut Cake.

After lunch we went for a walk around the shops in Honolulu.

We picked up a salad on the way back to the hotel and ate it on the balcony of the hotel, taking in the evening view out over the water.
