Kensington Palace and a very big dinner
We slept well last night and got down to breakfast around 9:00 am. The breakfast menu is fantastic and has an array of tempting selections to start the day. Nonetheless, we are trying to exercise a little restraint! But we still over-ordered.

After breakfast we headed off to Kensington Palace, a walk of about 2.5 km. It was a lovely day in London and, being a Saturday, there were a lot of people out in the gardens enjoying the weather. We went to Kensington Palace to see the new “Diana” statue that was unveiled last year. While we were there, though, we decided that we might as well go into the palace (even though we have been there before). We spent a couple of hours looking around the staterooms. We finished up wandering through the wonderful photo gallery in the palace before heading back outside.

We decided to head back to the hotel and spend the afternoon there before getting ready to go out to dinner. We left the hotel around 5:45 pm to go to Chelsea for dinner at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, which is Gordon Ramsay’s flagship restaurant. We opted for the Carte Blanche menu, where everything is a surprise. It’s fair to say that there were a few dishes on there that we wouldn’t have ordered had we been ordering à la carte but we enjoyed it all.

After eating way too much food we hopped in a cab and returned to the hotel.
Tomorrow we have the ABBA Voyage concert in the afternoon. We will probably go out for a walk in the morning and head to the concert early in the afternoon.
Now it’s off to bed with very full tummies!
