This morning our alarm went off at 4:30 am, only about three hours after we managed to get to bed last night after trying to organise ourselves to be in New Zealand this week.
We slept well last night. We got up around 9:00 am and got to the dining room around 9:45 am.
We slept very soundly last night and didn't rise until after 9:00 am. It was a beautiful morning here in Blanket Bay. We made it to the dining room around 10:00 am and had a very nice breakfast. After breakfast we went for a walk around the property, which was very pleasant.
This morning we were up early in preparation for the drive to Queenstown Airport to get our flight to Auckland. We got to the dining room at about 8:00 am and enjoyed a nice breakfast. We left the hotel a bit before 9:00 am and made the one-hour drive to Queenstown Airport.
After a good night's sleep, we all met downstairs in the hotel for a lovely breakfast. After breakfast, we checked out and hopped into the car for the drive down to Lake Taupo.
We slept well last night. We headed to the dining room for breakfast this morning at around 9:15 am. We set off after breakfast for the short walk to Huka Falls, where the Waikato River narrows from approximately 100 metres across to a canyon only 15 metres wide.
We slept well last night and got to breakfast at around 9:15 am this morning. We ate in the library this morning, which was very nice. After breakfast, we decided to take a short drive to the Craters of the Moon Thermal Area, a region with geothermal activity north of Taupo.
It rained pretty heavily overnight, so it was nice to drift off to sleep last night while listening to the rain hitting the roof.
