Combining the one-hour move forward in time zones, the switch to daylight savings time overnight, and an accrued lack of sleep, meant that we didn’t exactly spring out of bed early this morning. In fact, we managed to get down to breakfast about 15 minutes before it ended at 11:00 am.

After breakfast we went for a nice walk around Brickell Key.

We then headed back to our room to read, relax, and catch up on some emails. Since it was a beautiful day here, we opened the doors to the balcony and took in all that was going on out on the water in Miami.

We spent the rest of the day just chilling in the room before ordering room service for dinner. Since the fettuccine bolognese we had last night was so good, we decided to have it again tonight!

We sat outside on the balcony and enjoyed the corn chips, watching the boats go by. We couldn’t get over how, for the entire day, there has been a steady procession of boats going past. And it seemed that every one of them was blasting the same play list (which seemed like a play list of exactly one song because every song sounded the same to us!).

That's a lot of boats for 6 o'clock on a Sunday night!

After dinner we went for a walk. We walked around to the bridge over the Miami River and then did another loop around the key. After a walk of about 45 minutes, we got back to the hotel.

Tomorrow we’re checking out and heading across to the Port of Miami Terminal to board the Regent Seven Seas Navigator for a ten-day cruise through the Caribbean. We’re not sure what Internet connectivity on the ship will be like so updates may be a little more sporadic during the cruise. We’ll see how we go.
