After sleeping very soundly last night, today was a day for rest and relaxation on the ship.

Andrea was up a bit (a lot!) earlier than Keith and headed to the gym. We met up around midday and decided to have lunch, since we had both skipped breakfast. We opted for La Verandah, which put on a great buffet for lunch.

After lunch we walked out through the pool area and up to the top deck of the ship.

We spent some time on the top deck playing mini-golf and Baggo (where each player throws small bean-bags at a target).

We were surprised to see a few birds so far out to sea. They seemed to enjoy gliding around the back of the ship.

We were surprised to see that Apple’s weather app knew where we were and what the weather was like out here!

We decided that we’d been out in the heat for long enough so we went back inside to our room. We relaxed for the remainder of the afternoon, with Andrea reading a book and Keith playing in a Poker tournament.

We got changed and headed to the ship’s theatre around 5:30 pm for the captain’s welcome and introduction of the crew. This was followed by a pre-dinner show, which was a bit of fun.

After the show we headed straight for the Compass Rose restaurant again, since it was so good last night. (In fact, we think we’ll eat there most nights if we can!)

After a beautiful dinner we went back to our room to relax for a bit, before heading back to the theatre for the evening’s entertainment. The entertainment included some cabaret and a very funny comedienne.

After the show we briefly debated heading out for some more nighttime entertainment but we decided to have a relatively early night since we will be up a bit earlier tomorrow to spend the day in Puerto Plata (in the Dominican Republic).
