We had a wonderful sleep last night in the extremely comfortable bed at the Ham Yard Hotel. We got up around 9:00 am and made our way downstairs for breakfast at about 9:45 am.

After breakfast, we headed back to the room and relaxed there until late in the afternoon, when we left the hotel to catch a cab to see a local doctor. Andrea has developed a cough, and we decided to get it checked out, just to be on the safe side.

The doctor we saw thought that Andrea may have picked up something over the last week in Jordan. But she wasn’t concerned that it was anything too serious, which was a relief.

After leaving the doctor’s office, we caught a cab back to the hotel. We drove past Buckingham Palace and the Victoria Memorial, where barricades and seating have already been set up for the coronation of King Charles on May 6th.

When we got back to the hotel, we decided to have an early dinner. So, rather than go up to our room, we walked up the street to a local Italian restaurant in search of a bowl of spaghetti. We managed to get a table but,
unfortunately, a simple bowl of spaghetti was not an option. We opted for a couple of appetizers only, since we weren’t really that hungry.

After dinner, we walked back to the room and retired early to bed. We have nothing planned yet for tomorrow so we’ll just see how we feel and go from there.
