Today we headed off to Lizard Island, via an overnight stop in Blackall. Our friends Peter and Joy picked us up this morning, and we headed out to Essendon Airport for our flight to Blackall in central Queensland. We took off around lunchtime and landed in Blackall just before 3:00 pm.
We slept pretty well last night and got up around 8:00 am. After getting organised, we went for a walk down the main street of Blackall to get a cup of coffee and some breakfast.
Afer a good night's sleep last night, we got to breakfast at around 8:30 am. We had a lovely breakfast while planning that activities for the day.
We made it breakfast by about 9:00 am this morning, after sleeping soundly last night after our big day yesterday in the fresh air and in the water. After a very nice breakfast we went for a walk along the beach and spent some time reading and just relaxing. Before we knew it, it was time for lunch so we headed back inside to enjoy yet more food. After lunch we went for a lovely walk around to Watson's Bay, before heading back to the resort to take in the sunset. Then it was time for dinner, so we made our way back to the restaurant, where we enjoyed another beautiful meal. We finished dinner around 9:00 pm and then headed off to bed.
We met around 8:45 am this morning for our last breakfast on Lizard Island, since we're flying out today. We went for a walk after breakfast and along the way we saw the supply ship come in to the island to re-stock supplies.
