VIC/SA Road Trip
Robe to Adelaide Hills
We were up at a reasonable time this morning so we could get on the road by mid-morning. We enjoyed a nice breakfast before embarking on the drive to the Adelaide Hills.

About 40km from Robe we decided to turn inland and head up the Riddoch Highway to go via the town of Keith.

After looking around Keith, we got back in the car for the remainder of the drive to Adelaide, a distance of about 150km. We paused briefly at Coonalpyn to admire the silo art, which was beautiful.

On the outskirts of Adelaide we stopped at the beautiful town of Hahndorf, Australia’s oldest surviving German settlement, which was settled in the 1830s. We walked up and down the main street, and then headed to the Beerenberg Farm, where we bought a lovely selection of sauces and jams.

We left Hahndorf around 5:30 pm and drove 15 minutes up the road to Sequoia Lodge, located on Mount Lofty. We’ll be staying here for the next three nights.

After settling into our room, we headed to the dining room, where we had a lovely dinner.

Tomorrow is Andrea’s birthday, and we are planning on just having a relaxing day at the resort.
