After a good night’s sleep last night, we got to breakfast relatively early this morning. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast, taking in the beautiful view over the valley.

We pulled out of the resort gate at 9:30 am and set off on the six-hour drive to Dunkeld. We opted for the shortest route, which meant we spent a lot of time on narrow (but very scenic) back roads.

We got to Dunkeld around 4:15 pm and checked into the Royal Mail Hotel. At 6:30 pm we met up with our friends Peter and Joy, who are joining us for the weekend from Melbourne. We had a very nice dinner in Parker Street Project, one of the hotel’s restaurants. The strawberry soufflĂ© was the standout dish!

Tomorrow we plan to relax and just do a bit of exploring around the local area.
