Today we set off for Kangaroo Island with our friends, Peter and Joy. We took off around 10:45 am and landed at Kingscote Airport on Kangaroo Island after a very pleasant flight of about an hour.

On landing, we picked up a car and headed 85km southwest to the beautiful Southern Ocean Lodge, where we’ll be spending the next few days. We got to the lodge around 1:15 pm, and headed to the restaurant for a lovely lunch.

After lunch we headed to our rooms.

With only limited daylight remaining, we decided to head off for a short walk along the beach at Hanson Bay.

After a lovely walk, we headed back to the lodge to relax a bit.

At around 6 pm we headed up the very long corridor to the restaurant for dinner.

We decided to stop on the way to dinner for drinks and canapés in the main room before going to the restaurant for dinner.

After dinner we sat and relaxed with a cup of tea in the main room before bed.

We have a full day of activities planned for tomorrow so we decided to retire relatively early so we can hit the ground running in the morning.
