With no fixed plans for the day, we had a nice sleep-in, before heading to breakfast just before 10:30 am.

After breakfast, we relaxed in the hotel for the morning. We went for a walk in the early afternoon, before going back to the hotel to pack and check out.

With our suitcases loaded into the Mercedes van (since we can’t fit everything into a car!), we left for the hotel for the airport just after 4:00 pm. We got to the airport around 4:45 pm, checked in, and went to the lounge.

After a comical series of gate changes, we eventually boarded our flight just before 7:00 pm. We had a nice flight to London, and landed at about 9:00 pm.

We had only a short walk to the Sofitel Hotel (connected to Heathrow’s T5), where we’ll be spending tonight before driving north to Yorkshire tomorrow morning.
