On board in Edinburgh
After a good night’s sleep, we decided on a quick breakfast downstairs in the hotel. This turned out to not be one of the better breakfasts on the trip so far. The pancakes looked to be one of the least offensive offerings, but they were pretty average.

After checking out of the hotel at about 10:30 am, we loaded our (heavy and numerous!) suitcases into a cab for the short trip to the Port of Leith, to board the Regent Navigator, where we’ll be spending the next nine nights.
After a seamless check-in at the port, we boarded the ship and headed to the Pool Grill to get some lunch.

After lunch, we had a walk around the ship, unpacked our luggage, and just generally relaxed for the rest of the afternoon.
At about 6:30 pm, we met Peter and Joy for a drink before dinner. We decided to eat at Sette Mari, the ship’s Italian restaurant.

After a nice dinner, we headed back to our suites for a relatively early night. We remain in the port tonight, and tomorrow we’ll be doing a bit of exploring in Edinburgh.
