Warsaw to Budapest

We slept well last night, and got to breakfast a little after 10:00 am.

After enjoying a very leisurely breakfast, we relaxed in the room for a while before packing in readiness for the car we had booked to take us to the airport at 1:00 pm. We have really enjoyed the Raffles Europejski Warsaw Hotel. Everything about the hotel has been fantastic. But, it’s time to move on (again).

We got to the airport around 1:30 pm, checked in, and went to the lounge to relax before our 3:35 pm departure to Budapest.

Again, the flight with LOT Polish was excellent. We landed in Budapest just before 5:00 pm, collected our bags, and met our driver for the trip to the Four Seasons Gresham Palace Hotel. We arrived around 6:00 pm, checked in, and headed to our room.

After dropping our bags in our room, we caught up with Peter and Joy, and headed downstairs to the bar for a drink before dinner. Around 8:00 pm, we walked around the corner from the hotel into Zrínyi Street, to an Italian restaurant that the hotel concierge had booked for us. We got a lovely view of St. Stephen’s Basilica as we walked down Zrínyi Street.

We had a very nice meal as we all caught up on what we’d been doing in the few days since we last saw each other in Oslo.

We got back to our room at about 10:30 pm. From our balcony, we had lovely view over the Danube.

Tomorrow, we’re meeting Peter and Joy at 9:00 am for breakfast, before a big day of exploring in Budapest.
