We had a pretty good sleep last night and managed to get ourselves downstairs for breakfast a little after 10:00 am.

After breakfast, we headed back to the room to pack our suitcases for the trip home. This should have been a relatively simple task since we’ve only been gone for a bit over a week, but having indulged in a bit of shopping while we were here, it was still a bit of a challenge.

We checked out of the hotel just after 1:00 pm. On the way out, we stopped for a photo with Elias from Guest Services at The Peninsula.

We hopped into our waiting car and set off for the half-hour for the drive to Beijing Capital International Airport.

We got to the airport with plenty of time to spare, and after checking in, we went to the lounge to relax.

We boarded the flight to Singapore just after 4:00 pm and settled in for the six-hour trip.

The flight was very pleasant, and we landed in Singapore around 11:00 pm. We now have just under three hours on the ground in Singapore before boarding our 1:45 am flight to Melbourne.
